In the lead up to the Global Refugee Forum in December 2023, the Asylum Capacity Support Group Secretariat held a global meeting of the Asylum Capacity Support Group Dialogue Platform.
The meeting took place in virtual format on Thursday, 26 October from 15:30-17:30 CET, with English, French, Spanish and Arabic interpretation available.
The meeting provided an opportunity to a) reflect on the progress made through the newly established Asylum Capacity Support Group Dialogue Platform in March 2023; and b) share updates on asylum capacity support and outline preparations for the Global Refugee Forum. The meeting also helped determine priorities for the Asylum Capacity Support Group in 2024.
States and stakeholders shared short updates on asylum capacity support and initial indications of potential pledges, commitments, or statements on asylum capacity for the Global Refugee Forum.
