Against a background of increased forced displacement and unprecedented challenges to asylum systems globally, it is vital that States together with UNHCR and other partners work towards building more adapted and sustainable asylum systems to guarantee the right to seek asylum. This side event draws attention to the positive steps that States have taken and have committed to take, to support asylum systems by addressing support requests and sharing good practices through the Asylum Capacity Support Group and regional mechanisms.
