The Asylum Capacity Support Group Secretariat is organizing the third global meeting of the Asylum Capacity Support Group Dialogue Platform on “Advancing Asylum Capacity Development through the GCR: Reflecting on Current Challenges and State Responses”.
One year before the High-Level Officials Meeting, against a background of increasing forced displacement and against the backdrop of UNHCR’s soon to be released strategy on strengthening national asylum systems and completion of a self-assessment tool, the dialogue platform of the ACSG will hold an event to take stock of developments, challenges and opportunities States have identified in review and comprehensive reforms of their asylum procedures to improve the fairness, efficiency, adaptability, and integrity.

The meeting will take place in virtual format on 10 December 2024 from 9:00-10:30 am and 15:30-17:00 pm CET with Arabic, English, French and Spanish interpretation.
